We are Mothers who Pray for their Children

We are a Catholic Marian movement anchored in prayer, intercession, and formation. Under the patronage of Our Lady of La Salette and Saint Monica, we are united by a mother’s love and a deep desire to entrust our children to God. Founded in Brazil by Angela Abdo, who responded to a call to gather and pray with other mothers, the movement has since flourished across the globe.

Our mission is to form networks of mothers who come together in the Church to pray, grow in faith, and support one another. With over 150,000 members in Brazil alone, Mothers Who Pray for Their Children has now reached communities in France, Germany, the United States, Latin America, Angola, Portugal, South Africa — and most recently, Australia, the first English-speaking country to adopt the movement’s resources. We are blessed to have already establish multiple groups here, with more emerging as the movement continues to grow, guided by the gifts and dedication of its members. All it takes is for a mother to say "Yes".

Across the world, in parishes where the Mothers Who Pray for Their Children Movement is present, Holy Masses were offered in honour of Our Lady. These celebrations were marked with prayer, thanksgiving, and moments of fraternity that reflected the deep love we hold for the Blessed Mother who intercedes for our children and families.
